All About Me

I am a naturopath, acupuncturist and yoga practitioner. My first love in life is nature and everything she encompasses. Next is the human body, spirit and mind and ways of healing all three. The other... ways to find true happiness in life. That's my own personal mission, to continue to find ways to be fullfilled and to grow as a person.

My Work
My clinic is my baby, she's my source of inspiration and my way of doing something "good" for the world. I've worked hard (and still am) at creating the space just how I like it. Every person that walks in, including the delivery men, always comment on how nice it feels. It is the best feeling doing the job you love, nothing beats it. My work is like my personal encyclopedia, it teaches me about life, people, and health and for that I am a lucky lady.

My Life
I have so many other interests. Yoga, animals, environment, art, photography, reading, writing, cooking, raw food nutrition, oragnics, good friends, keeping active outdoors and staying inspired. This blog is another creative endeavour of mine, to somehow combine everything I know/ love/do in a unique way. In many ways it's a therapeutic outlet for myself.

Where I've come from
Just popped out from under a mushroom! No... but sometimes it feels that way ; ) My heritage is Russian but was born in Australia. Much of what has lead me to this lifestyle is from my grandparents. Most people who I meet ask me what made want to study naturopathy or acupuncture. A legitimate question and the answer is many reasons. Firstly, I was a big reader when I was growing up and I absolutely LOVED hiding away for the day, immersed in a book. My father had a big book collection and the colourful ones looked more interesting to a child and were based on alternative topics. I read up on herbs, yoga, iridology, crystals, pyramids and even acupressure! This is where the seed was planted and as I continued through to highschool in my last year I had a serious car accident. I healed from this but still didn't feel "right" and my best friends mum, an acupuncturist offered me some treatment. I felt immediately better. The rest is history unfolding....

Where I'm going
You think you know where you're going and it changes, so the road I have paved in my mind allows much flexibility. Nothing worse than being so tied up in the destination that you forget about the journey and really, it's all about the journey. The destination changes.

Some things I'd like to achieve is getting my thoughts on paper, actually putting all my writing, my recipes my health ideas into a book. I'd like to explore theory's on yoga more and integrate them into my practice. I'd like to travel the world a bit more, go to places that are totally surrounded by nature and maybe just maybe get more serious with my creative side.
